Summary: Oldie but a goodie
... I'm new to electronics - just a nerd who gets interested in everything. I'm a self-learner and i'm about 18 pages into the book so far. It's very heavy into the math and schematics of electronics - exactly the in depth information i want EXCEPT that it will, for many people, require someone with a higher knowledge in this field to explain one or two things. I've got the lab book and haven't really read it along with the book yet (my hobbies are always at conflict with my time). The lab book is about 20$ used on ebay

[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-07-25 Summary: An Inventor's Friend ... Very good basic book on electronics - especially on AC/DC circuits. Helpful examples and illustrations. The language is straightforward in presenting the physics of circuits and how they relate to one another. For inventors and tinkerers, like myself, this is a competent general resource for test equipment, optoelectronics, and micro-controller circuits. A word of caution, however - there are many typos so double check details. (This is more of an annoyance than a deal breaker, in my opinion.) On the whole, my son ...more
